Set in a not-too-distant future, “Blue Skies” is a work of fiction that begins with the premise: How will humans really react when their day-to-day lives are impacted by climate change? Boyle’s answer: They won’t. But somehow none of them are quite as devastating as T.C. They’re packed with truly frightening scenarios based on science. There have been entire shelves of non-fiction books written about climate change. All of my issues were controllable by the hotel staff and manager which were handled poorly. I then attempted to use the well worn couch to avoid using the desk chair, the bottom panel of the couch fell off, it appears that pull out couch portion was over time rubbing on it causing carpenter screws to come loose and a very poor attempt with staples to repair had failed. The room furniture requires extensive repairs or replacement, I had to place a towel down on the desk chair due to all the leather being peeled off and cushion being exposed. I returned to my room to find that the cleaner had vacuumed only half of the carpet in the couch area, the trash bags from the room I neatly tied and placed beside my dirty towels near the door were left in the room! I again called the front desk to inform them, the unsanitary conditions in my room and the requirement of towels due to the staff not exchanging. I sat in the lobby for 50 minutes, the front desk came and let me know the room was complete. ![]() I was told they would have the staff in my room immediately and they would tell me when my room was completed, I reminded the staff that the room required a thorough cleaning and vacuum. I had to return to the front desk and ask when the cleaning staff was going to attend my room. To my surprise at 1625, my room still had yet to be serviced. In the morning on my departure to work at 0525, I spoke directly with the front desk to confirm my room would need both cleaning and extensive vacuuming. I was told my room would be a priority and would be started around 11am. I requested the first night to have the cleaning staff do a thorough cleaning of the floor with the vacuum when servicing my room. As I had just finished a 13 hour drive I was not willing to wait an hour for the room to be properly cleaned. They said unfortanely their were no rooms available to switch too but could bring up a vacuum. dog hair, previous patrons sock/ toiletry bag under the curtains. Immediately after entering my room I addressed the front desk of the condition of my room, i.e. The rooms floor was littered with dog hair, to the point of having to keep my suits hanging in my bag and changing in the washroom in the lobby.
